Michael D. Chiumento

Michael D. (Mike) Chiumento is the founding member of Chiumento & Guntharp, P.A.   Mr. Chiumento obtained his BA from Temple University in 1967 and his JD from Stetson University in 1971.  As the Firm grew, he served as the city attorney for the City of Flagler Beach, legal advisor to the City of Beverly Beach, Board Attorney for the East Flagler County Mosquito Control District and Board Attorney for the Flagler County School Board. 

Mr. Chiumento is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Flagler County Bar Association, Florida School Board Attorney’s Association, Florida School Boards Association, National School Boards Association and the National School Boards Association Council of School Board Attorneys. 

Mike, his wife Kris and their family have resided in Flagler County since 1973.  He has always been very involved in our community.  In the past, Mr. Chiumento has served as a Director and President of the Flagler County Committee 100 (now known as Enterprise Flagler), a member of the Board of Directors for Barnett Bank of Volusia County, President of the Flagler County Bar Assn, President of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Palm Coast YMCA and as an ex-officio Director of the Flagler County Education Foundation.  He was an organizer and a current director of Cypress Community Bank.

Michael D. Chiumento III

Michael D. Chiumento III graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1994 with degrees in Civil Engineering and Liberal Studies.  After practicing as a Civil Engineer he received his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1999.  Mr. Chiumento is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Chiumento focuses his practice on Real Estate matters.  He represents institutional clients, developers, and individuals in all facets of real estate sales, acquisitions and financing, entitlements and development of Real Property.  Mr. Chiumento's experience includes condominium development and conversions, title insurance, land use, zoning and DRI(s) and Community Development Districts.

Mr. Chiumento represents many of Florida's most prominent real estate developers in notable projects such as Town Center at Palm Coast (DRI), Palm Coast Park (DRI) and Grand Haven.  Mr. Chiumento represents various lenders including Cypress Coquina Bank, Colonial Bank, SunTrust and Peoples First Bank in secured transactions.  In addition, Mr. Chiumento's business and corporate practice includes assistance and representation in the analysis of complex business transactions and negotiation and drafting of business agreements.

Michael Chiumento is a Board Member and Executive Officer of Enterprise Flagler and the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce.

Paul M. Guntharp Jr.

Mr. Guntharp graduated from the University Of Baltimore School Of Law in 1986, with honors, and has practiced law in Flagler County since 1989.  He also holds degrees in Economics from the University of Florida and Accounting from the University of Maryland.

Mr. Guntharp’s primary areas of practice include litigation and business law.

 

 


Jay Livingston

Jay William Livingston was born in Miami, Florida.  He attended Hamilton College in upstate New York where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Cultural Anthropology.  While attending Hamilton College he studied abroad through the School for International Training on the coast of Kenya, where he worked on an independent field project studying the cultural effects of tourist development on the local population.

Mr. Livingston attended the Knight School of Law at the University of Oregon where he received his Juris Doctorate.  He is a member of Florida Bar and the American Bar Association.  His primary practice areas are in Real Estate Development and Land Use, Business Entities, Wills and Trusts, Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation.

Mr. Livingston enjoys reading and writing in his spare time.  He stays in shape surfing Flagler County's beautiful beaches and skateboarding.  He is also a self-proclaimed computer geek.

James T. Wolverton

Mr. Wolverton received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2004 from the Knight School of Law at the University of Oregon. He is admitted to practice law in the states of Florida and Utah.  He previously served as Director of Land Protection with the Sarasota Conservation Foundation in Sarasota, Florida and as staff attorney with Utah County Public Defender Office in Provo, Utah. 

Mr. Wolverton’s primary areas of practice include litigation and real estate law.
