The Firm provides statewide representation in all aspects of administrative and governmental law including local comprehensive planning, regulatory compliance, enforcement actions and administrative proceedings before local, state and federal agencies. A significant portion of this practice deals with representation of private sector clients before state agencies and legislative bodies as well as local government entities.

On the local level, we have represented community development districts, school districts, community redevelopment agencies, and public arts and entertainment boards. The Firm has also served as special counsel to water management districts throughout the state.

Municipal Law

Our attorneys have experience representing clients in regard to all aspects of municipal law including local comprehensive planning, regulatory compliance, enforcement actions and administrative proceedings. We represent clients before agencies, legislative bodies and local government entities.

Special Districts & Community Development Districts (CDDs)

A CDD is an independent local special-purpose government that can levy taxes/assessments and issue bonds. When used effectively, CDDs can help developers spread out development costs, defray the concerns of permitting agencies with respect to long-term maintenance of infrastructure and address the local government’s need to avoid politically unpopular property tax increases.  Chiumento & Guntharp, P.A. has established and provides on-going legal representation to various CDDs.  Such legal representation includes but is not limited to bond financing, permitting, construction and Sunshine Law.  We bring solutions to our clients as we negotiate a wide range of agreements with state or local agencies creating viable alternatives to conventional regulatory practices.

Not-for-Profits

Our Firm advises on a wide range of matters, including the formation, incorporation, restructuring, reorganization, and termination of nonprofit corporations such as property owners associations and industry trade boards. We serve as consultants on special projects, assist in long-term strategic planning, and help clients develop creative and effective solutions to operational problems.
