Personal History

Lewis A. (Lew) Berns has associated with the Firm of Chiumento, Guntharp & Selis, PL of Palm Coast as "Of Counsel".  Mr Berns has practiced in Florida since 1984.  Previously he practiced for 10 years in Illinois.  He is a graduate of DePaul University and the John Marshall Law School, both located in Chicage, Illinois. 

Professional History

His practice has concentrated in the areas of personal injury, professional liability and construction defect litigation.  Mr. Berns is a Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediator and has received additional certification as a foreclosure mediator.  He will continue to direct his practice in these areas and will be available to accept referrals and all fees will be consistent with the statutory direction.
