Marc received the first of his two Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology from Queens College in 1991. His second Bachelor’s degree is in Drama and Theater in 1993. He received his Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2002. Marc graduated at the top of his class and was on the Dean’s List. He Participated in the Chester Bedell Inns of Court, and was one of the first students at his school to win a State-wide Best Individual Appellate Advocate award in Moot Court Competition.

Personal History

Marc was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from the prestigious Stuyvesant High school. He graduated with two bachelor degrees from the City University of New York at Queens College in 1993. Marc then married his soul mate, Rose. Marc has been a Florida resident since 1996 and earned his Juris Doctor in degree in Jacksonville. He has represented Landlords, Tenants; Employers & Employees; Creditors & Debtors; Husbands & Wives; Home Builders, Home Sellers and Homebuyers; automobile dealers and non-profit organizations. He has personally handled both Civil and Criminal Cases in both Federal and State Court. Marc E. Dwyer has personally handled thousands of cases within his areas of law. He was also admitted Pro Hac Vice to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.

Community Service

In addition to Marc’s involvement in professional organizations, Marc strongly believes in being involved in the community. Marc currently serves as a volunteer Teen Court Judge in the Flagler County Teen Court for the past 6 years. He has been a mentor with the Flagler County School System and mentors for the Flagler Education Foundation. Marc is also currently involved with the African American Mentorship Program; and has served as a board member/director of the following organizations:

  • Director – Grand Haven Homeowner’s Association, 2006-2008: In this capacity, Marc has had the opportunity to make decisions regarding financial utilization of the community’s association funds, develop & ratify procedures for levying fines. Work on Covenants, Codes, and Restrictions implementation and renovation. Review and interpret Florida Statute 720. Hear appeals from fine committee decisions.
  • Board Director – Flagler County Human Services Allocation Committee 2005-2008: Marc assisted the County Commissioners in hearing the annual proposals for funding for Flagler County’s humanitarian, and Community Services organizations. Board responsibilities included analyzing annual proposals based upon criteria which would determine the merits of the organizations, then deciding what funding would be granted for the year based upon those merits.
  • President, Advisory Board – Bethune Cookman University Performing Arts Center 2006-2009: In this capacity Marc Dwyer presided over the board responsible for acquiring funding and talent for the University’s Performing Arts Center. In this capacity Marc Dwyer worked with community leaders from Volusia County in brainstorming, and organizing with a broad based analysis to adding artistic value to the Community.
